Who we are
We're a local electrical firm serving Billericay and the towns and villages around it — Basildon, Wickford, Brentwood, Ingatestone, Stock, Great Burstead and Laindon. We handle everything a home or business needs, from fault finding, extra sockets and lighting to fuse-board upgrades, full rewires, EICRs, EV chargers and commercial installations. The service is operated by SEO Dons Ltd (Companies House no. 16766013).
Qualified, registered and insured
Our electricians are NICEIC registered and Part P approved, working under a government-authorised Competent Person Scheme. In practice that means we're independently assessed against BS 7671 — the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations — and can self-certify notifiable work and issue the Building Regulations compliance certificates you'll need when you sell or remortgage. Every job is completed to the current standard and backed by public liability insurance. You can check each scheme against its issuing body below — we'd rather you verify than take it on trust.
How we work — and who you deal with
When you get in touch, you deal with the electrician doing the work, not a national call centre passing your job to whoever's cheapest that week. We give you a free, itemised written quote before any planned work, complete the job tidily and around your day, and hand over the right certificate at the end. If an inspection turns up remedial work, we quote it, carry it out and re-test it ourselves — one contractor from first visit to final paperwork.
Transparent pricing
Most local electricians hide their prices behind "call for a free quote". We publish honest 2026 price guides for the jobs we're asked about most on our prices page, so you know roughly what to budget before you even contact us. There are no hidden call-out fees on planned work, and emergency and out-of-hours rates are confirmed before we set off.
Domestic and commercial
We work in homes of every age — Billericay's 1930s semis, its period High Street property and its newer detached estates — as well as offices, shops, warehouses and rental properties. Landlords rely on us for the 5-yearly EICRs the law requires, and businesses for installations, testing and maintenance scheduled around their trading hours. Whatever the job, the standard is the same: certified, insured and done properly.
